Here are Jack Green‘s football tips for Southampton v Liverpool on Friday.
Liverpool to win
Liverpool are on a four-game winning streak in all competitions and unbeaten in 13 matches, so it’s hard to see them slipping up against Southampton at St Mary’s.
The hosts have won back-to-back games, but they’ve lost their last three meetings with Liverpool 2-0 or 3-0 and simply aren’t a match for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Sadio Mane to score first
Mane has scored 20 goals for Liverpool this season and looks poised to bag another against his former club on Friday night.
The Reds have scored in three of their last five away games, with Mane opening the scoring in all three.
Ryan Bertrand to be carded
Bertrand has picked up six yellow cards in the Premier League this season despite only starting 17 matches.
The left-back looks a good bet to be booked again on Friday given that he’ll be up against Mohamed Salah.
