Here are five football tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for Tottenham v Newcastle on Sunday.

Tottenham to win & under 3.5 goals

Spurs recovered from a goal down to thrash Southampton last weekend and win their second match on the bounce in all competitions.

Newcastle romped past Morecambe 7-0 in the League Cup on Wednesday but a 3-0 loss at home to Brighton last weekend suggests they may struggle against a team of Tottenham’s quality.

Spurs have won five of their last six against Newcastle, with just one of those matches seeing four or more goals scored.

Draw at half-time

Spurs tend to start slowly under Jose Mourinho, with all three of their matches so far this season being level at the break.

Newcastle have started similarly slowly this term, either being level or behind at the break in their two Premier League matches so far.

Son Heung-min to score

Son is in flying form after netting four goals against Southampton last weekend – his first hat-trick for Spurs.

He has scored twice in his last three appearances against Newcastle, too, so looks a good bet to net again on Sunday.

Under 10.5 total corners

None of Tottenham’s three matches this season have seen more than 10 total corners, with Newcastle’s last two matches following the same pattern.

This bet has also landed in four of the last five meetings between these sides.
