Here are four football tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for Southampton v Manchester City on Sunday.

Manchester City to win & over 2.5 goals

City returned to their best on Thursday as they romped past champions Liverpool in a 4-0 drubbing.

They should have little trouble against Southampton, whose last victory against them came in May 2016. Each of the last four meetings between these sides have seen three or more goals scored.

Phil Foden to score

Foden scored against Liverpool to take his Premier League tally this season to four – all of which have been scored since the restart.

Pep Guardiola will likely want to give the youngster as many minutes as possible before the end of the campaign, so another start and another goal on Sunday wouldn’t be a surprise.

Danny Ings to score

Ings has catapulted himself into Golden Boot contention with three goals since the restart, now sitting on 18 goals for the season.

He already has goals against Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and Leicester this season, so clearly doesn’t shy away on the big occasions.

Manchester City to have most cards

Southampton have the third-best disciplinary record in the league this season, receiving just 43 yellows and four reds.

City, meanwhile, have been shown 56 yellows and four reds, and have racked up six cards in two league away games since the restart.
