Liverpool to beat Brighton

Liverpool lost their unbeaten league record at Manchester City last week, but that’s no reason not to back them on the south coast.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have only dropped points against City, Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League this season and, with the bulk of the first team returning to the squad, they are bound to put in a better display than in their FA Cup exit at Wolves on Monday.

Brighton are yet to earn a point against Liverpool since winning promotion from the Championship two seasons ago and have won just one of their last six league games.

Burnley to beat Fulham

Fulham’s miserable form continued last weekend as they surrendered a lead and missed a penalty on the way being dumped out of the FA Cup by League Two Oldham.

The Cottagers’ only victory in their last nine matches in all competitions came from a stoppage-time winner against bottom-of-the-league Huddersfield last month, while they have earned just one point in their last nine away games.

Burnley are currently on a three-match winning streak in all competitions, a run that includes league wins over Huddersfield and West Ham.

Cardiff to beat Huddersfield

Heavy back-to-back home defeats for Cardiff against Tottenham and Manchester United shouldn’t alarm you.

The Bluebirds had won four of their previous five at the Cardiff City Stadium, beating fellow strugglers Fulham and Southampton in that sequence.

Huddersfield slumped to their ninth straight defeat in all competitions last weekend as they were beaten 1-0 by Championship Bristol City in the FA Cup.

Watford to win or draw v Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace laboured to a 1-0 victory over 10-man Grimsby at Selhurst Park in the FA Cup last weekend, despite fielding a strong side.

The Eagles have failed to register in seven of their 10 league games at home this season, winning just twice.

Watford have been beaten just three times in 13 matches away from Vicarage Road, so this is worth backing.
