Watford to win or draw v Brighton

Brighton surrendered a two-goal lead at Fulham in midweek, eventually losing 4-2 to end the hosts’ four-game losing run.

That was a third straight league defeat for the Seagulls, who have beaten only Everton in their last five matches at the Amex.

Watford’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham at Wembley on Wednesday was only their second defeat in 11 matches in all competitions and they should get at least a point against out-of-form opponents.

Chelsea to win to nil v Huddersfield

Huddersfield lost for the 11th time in a 12-match winless run in midweek, going down 1-0 at home to an Everton side that were forced to play with 10 men for the last 24 minutes.

The Terriers have managed just 13 league goals this season and that defeat was the fourth straight match they have failed to score.

Chelsea come into this on the back of a shock 4-0 defeat at Bournemouth but, having won eight of their last 10 matches at Stamford Bridge, have an excellent opportunity to put that right.

Southampton to win or draw v Burnley

Southampton have improved hugely under Ralph Hassenhuttl, winning as many matches in the two months since he took over (four) as they had done in the previous 12 months.

The Saints have taken seven points from their last three away matches in the Premier League, including a 0-0 draw at Chelsea last month, and have only lost to West Ham and Manchester City in their last eight league games.

Burnley are in good form at Turf Moor, having won three of their last four league games, but two of those victories came against poor travellers Brighton and second-bottom Fulham.

Wolves to win or draw v Everton

Wolves followed their 2-2 comeback at Shrewsbury in the FA Cup with a 3-0 victory at home to West Ham on Tuesday.

Nuno Santo’s side have lost just three of their last 10 league games. Two of those defeats were against Liverpool and Manchester City, while Wanderers have won away to Tottenham and Newcastle in that sequence.

Everton had lost back-to-back matches against Millwall and Southampton prior to their unconvincing victory at Huddersfield. They will also be without Lucas Digne, who was sent off at the John Smith’s Stadium.
