Here are four football tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for Manchester City v Liverpool on Thursday evening.

Manchester City to win

City have won both of their matches at the Etihad since the restart – a 3-0 win over Arsenal and a 5-0 drubbing of Burnley – while Liverpool are winless in four on the road.

Having won the title last week, we could see a dip in performance from the Reds against a City side who will be hungry for a win over the new champions.

Gabriel Jesus to score

Jesus is yet to add to his 10 Premier League goals since the restart but has registered two assists in his last four appearances.

He has a good record against Liverpool, scoring three goals in five competitive meetings against them.

Manchester City to have most cards

Liverpool have the best disciplinary record in the Premier League this season, with just 28 yellows and one red.

City, meanwhile, have received double that number, with 54 yellow and four reds.

Over 11.5 total corners

City have won more corners than any other team in the division this season, averaging just under eight per match.

Liverpool have won the third-most in the Premier League, averaging more than 6.5 per game, so this mark looks well within reach on Thursday.
