Here are five football tips that Will Rook thinks you should consider for Manchester United v Sheffield United on Wednesday evening.

Manchester United to win to nil

Sheffield United haven’t had a great return to competitive football, taking one point from games against Aston Villa and Newcastle.

The Blades failed to score in both of those matches and registered just two shots on target across the two games.

Manchester United have kept six clean sheets in seven matches in all competitions at Old Trafford, while they have the fourth-best home record in the Premier League.

First-half correct score: 0-0

It was goalless at half-time in seven of the 12 games played since the Premier League restarted.

That includes both of Sheffield United’s matches, while Manchester United didn’t score until they were awarded an 81st-minute penalty.

Bruno Fernandes to score

Fernandes made a goalscoring return in Manchester United’s first game back against Tottenham.

The Portuguese international is on penalties for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and has netted four goals in his last seven appearances in all competitions.

John Fleck to be carded

Fleck has picked up eight bookings in all competitions this season – more than any other Sheffield United player.

The Scot averages 1.3 tackles per match and could struggle with the pace of the game, as he did in an ineffective performance at Newcastle on Sunday.
