Cardiff to win
Cardiff’s home form is all that’s giving them any hope of staying up this season, and Saturday’s visit of Bournemouth looks a big chance to claim three important points.
Neil Warnock’s side beat Fulham, Brighton, Wolves and Southampton in a run of five home games between October and December, with four of their six defeats at the Cardiff City Stadium this term coming against top six teams.
It’s not unusual for Bournemouth to follow up a good result with a bad one, either. They haven’t won three consecutive Premier League matches since March 2016, and the potential absence of Jonathan Lerma, David Brooks and Callum Wilson won’t help them put that right here.
Sol Bamba to score
No team has had more shots from set-pieces than Cardiff this season, so backing them to score from one this weekend seems sensible.
With Sean Morrison out, Bamba looks a nice bet to do the damage. The Ivorian has two goals already this season, and ranks sixth for xG per 90 minutes of all centre-backs in the division.
Sol Bamba to be carded
Bamba also looks a good candidate for a booking on Saturday evening, having already picked up four yellow cards this season.
The 32-year-old ranks eighth for tackles per minute in the Premier League this term, and is third for fouls in the Bluebirds’ squad.
