Here are five football tips Adam Drury thinks you should consider for Brighton v Watford on Saturday evening.

Brighton (-1) to have most corners

Brighton average over five corners per home game this season, with Watford managing just 4.08 per away match.

Nigel Pearson’s side have won the corner count in just one of his nine games in charge, losing it by more than one in five of them.

Lewis Dunk to score a header

After the Hornets conceded twice to Yerry Mina last week, there is every chance of Dunk taking advantage from one of those corners.

The Brighton skipper has scored twice this season, and ranks second to Mina for xG of all defenders in the Premier League.

Eight of his 10 attempts from corners this season have been with his head.

Dale Stephens to be carded

Stephens has been carded six times this season, including in last week’s 3-3 draw at West Ham.

He ranks top for fouls and second for tackles in the Brighton squad.

Etienne Capoue to be carded

Capoue ranks second to N’Golo Kante for fouls per game in the Premier League this season, and has been carded six times as a result.

An opposition central midfielder has been carded in five of Brighton’s last seven league games.

Adrian Mariappa to be carded

Mariappa has picked up four yellow cards (two of which translated into a red) this season.

The 33-year-old is looking increasing wobbly as an out-of-position right-back, and comes up against the in-form Leandro Trossard.
