Here are Tom Clee‘s football tips for Brighton v Newcastle on Saturday night.
Under 2.5 goals
Absolutely nothing about this game suggests goals. Brighton have failed to find the net in seven, while Newcastle have scored the fewest on the road of any team outside the bottom three.
Eleven of the last 15 games at the Amex have seen under 2.5, while the previous three meetings between these sides have produced a grand total of just two goals between them.
Glenn Murray to be carded
Murray played less than half an hour against Spurs in midweek, so will surely feature from the start on Saturday.
He’s got five bookings this season – the second-most in the Brighton squad, all but one of which have come at home – and, with little service forthcoming, looks set for another frustrating night.
Fabian Schar to be carded
Murray is likely be marked by Schar, who loves a tussle.
Only Etienne Capoue has received more yellows in the Premier League this season, with three of his 11 coming in his last three away games.
Under 6.5 Brighton corners
The Seagulls have only had more than six corners in three of their 17 home games this season.
They don’t spend much time high up the pitch anyway and, given their scratchy form, are unlikely to surpass this mark on Saturday.
