Here are five football tips Jack Green thinks you should consider for Aston Villa v Man City on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams to score

While Sunday’s game at Villa Park should be a comfortable win for Man City, the home side are worth backing to score for the 10th home game in a row.

City have kept just three clean sheets in their last 18 matches in all competitions, and have conceded goals against both Oxford and Port Vale during the past month.

Over 3.5 goals

City have scored at least twice in nine consecutive matches, with over 3.5 goals in seven of their last eight away games.

This balance was also tipped in Villa’s last three home matches before they beat Norwich 1-0 on Boxing Day.

Anytime score: Aston Villa 0-2 Man City

City have led 2-0 at some point during five of their last seven Premier League matches, including all of their last three.

Villa have gone 2-0 down in four of their last six league games, so there’s a good chance of City building a comfortable lead early on.

Kevin De Bruyne to score

It’s always difficult to predict who is going to start up front for Man City, particularly after Pep Guardiola rested both Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero against Manchester United in midweek.

De Bruyne is almost never rested and has been in cracking form recently, scoring seven goals in his last 12 appearances for club and country.

Man City to have the most cards

City have been shown more cards than their opponents in four of their last five Premier League away games.

Expect more of the same against Villa, who are the Premier League’s most-fouled team.
