Here are five football tips that Jack Green thinks you should consider for Brighton v Arsenal on Saturday.

Arsenal to win

Arsenal were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City on Wednesday night, but much of the blame for that result can be placed upon the now-suspended David Luiz.

The Gunners were previously unbeaten in 2020 and are good value to bounce back against Brighton, who are yet to win in their 10 matches this year.

Both teams to score

Luiz’s red card on Wednesday means Arsenal are short of bodies in defence, particularly as Pablo Mari suffered an injury early in the first half, so Brighton are worth backing to find the net.

BTTS has landed in six of the Seagulls’ last nine league games, and they beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates in December.

Arsenal to win the second half

Arsenal have started matches slowly all season but have made up for that to some extent with the league’s fifth-best second-half record.

This bet would have landed in four of the Gunners’ last six Premier League games.

Alexandre Lacazette to score

Lacazette was left out of Arsenal’s starting line-up on Wednesday night but has a good chance of starting against Brighton with Mikel Arteta likely to rotate his squad.

The Frenchman scored in three of his last four appearances before the season was suspended and found the net against Brighton in December.

Arsenal to receive the most cards

This is a meeting of teams at opposite ends of the Premier League’s disciplinary table.

Arsenal have been shown 64 yellow cards and four reds – both of which are the most in the top flight – while Brighton are the league’s fourth-best-behaved side with 45 yellow cards and two reds.
