Newcastle and Manchester City will meet in a potentially blockbuster Premier League clash at St James' Park on Saturday evening.
Newcastle have been poor on the road this season but they have been better at home, winning seven of their 10 matches at St James’ Park across all competitions.
The Magpies will face a stern test of those Tyneside credentials on Saturday when they host Manchester City, who are just four points behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race.

Cards look likely
Newcastle and Manchester City tend to be involved in dramatic clashes at St James’ Park, with the Magpies avoiding defeat in three of the last four meetings at this ground, while the other required a late winner from Oscar Bobb for the visitors.
This should be another exciting affair and one in which cards look likely. Referee Sam Barrott is averaging 5.33 cards per 90 minutes and 0.17 red cards per game in the Premier League this season, the highest of any referee in the division.
In what looks likely to be a physical game, expect five or more cards to be shown on Tyneside.
Leg 1: Over 4.5 cards @ 23/20
Woltemade the main man
Nick Woltemade has been a revelation for Newcastle since his summer arrival, replacing Alexander Isak without missing a beat.
The German striker has six goals in 12 starts for the Magpies and has carried that form over into his burgeoning international career, with three goals in two World Cup qualifiers over the recent break.
Manchester City have conceded six goals on their last three league visits to Newcastle and they head into this one having kept just one clean-sheet in four.
Side with Woltemade to get on the scoresheet as he looks set to continue his exceptional start to the season for Eddie Howe’s men.

Reijnders fancied for a shot on target
Erling Haaland has been in phenomenal form for Manchester City this term, scoring 14 goals in 11 Premier League games.
However, getting goals from elsewhere in the team has been a major issue for Pep Guardiola’s side, no player bar Haaland has scored more than once in the new campaign.
One of their highest-volume shooters has been Tijjani Reijnders, who is averaging 0.71 shots on target per 90 minutes for the visitors.
The Dutch star scored and assisted for his nation in a 4-0 win over Lithuania during the international break, a game in which the midfielder had four attempts at goal.
Reijnders could carry that on for his club side and is fancied for a shot on target.
