Here are five bets Guy Giles thinks you should consider for Southampton v Bournemouth, which kicks off at 20:00 on Friday.

Southampton to win & BTTS

Both these sides have seven points from their opening five games, but it is Southampton who have edged their recent meetings.

The Saints are unbeaten in six matches against Bournemouth, with BTTS landing in four of those.

Over 2.5 total goals

Last season’s meeting at St. Mary’s ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, with Bournemouth rescuing a point late on.

This mark has been passed in two of the last three matches between these sides.

Goal scored between 61-75 minutes

Southampton have scored one and conceded four between the 61st and 75th minute this season.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, have scored three and conceded three in the same timeframe.

Over 1.5 Southampton cards

At least two Southampton players have been booked in each of their last three matches against the Cherries.

They have also received two or more cards in three of their five Premier League games so far this term.

Philip Billing to be carded

Billing has started all five of Bournemouth’s Premier League matches this season.

He has been booked twice already and was at risk of a red against Aston Villa before being withdrawn at half-time.
