Fantasy football tips: Nine Gameweek 10 picks

Nine players you must consider for your Fantasy team this weekend.

GOALKEEPER

Lukasz Fabianski (West Ham)

After keeping a clean sheet against Wolves on Saturday, West Ham have the fourth best xG against in the Premier League.

The Hammers have only conceded nine goals, the same number as Man City and Liverpool, and fewer than Tottenham and Chelsea.

Fulham could be without Aleksandar Mitrovic here, improving Fabianski’s chances of keeping a clean sheet.

DEFENDERS

Reece James (Chelsea)

James ranks top for xA in Chelsea’s squad so far this season.

With that figure reading 1.57, plus a key passes tally of nine, he is surely set to add to his one real assist for this season.

Managerless Wolves have lost their last two matches 3-0 and 2-0.

Timothy Castagne (Leicester)

Bournemouth’s xG of 4.11 for this season is comfortably the worst in the Premier League so it’s worth targeting a Leicester defender.

The Foxes kept their first clean sheet of the season on Monday, with Timothy Castagne a consistent presence at the back.

He ranks highest for xG + xA of all Leicester defenders.

MIDFIELDERS

Phil Foden (Man City)

Foden has racked up a tally of 0.69 xG + xA so far this season, giving him a strong chance of contributing to at least one goal against Southampton.

His hat-trick against Manchester United came from six shots, suggesting that he is capable of keeping up the impressive work in front of goal.

The Saints have lost four of their last five matches.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham)

Bowen has taken 13 shots in his last four matches, finally being rewarded with his first goal of the season against Wolves on Saturday.

He takes on a Fulham side that has conceded at least two goals in all but two of its nine games this season.

The Cottagers rank bottom for xG against in the Premier League.

Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace)

Not many Fantasy players will own Eze, who had four shots to no avail against Chelsea last weekend.

He ranks fourth for xG plus xA in the Crystal Palace squad and sits top for key passes.

Palace play Leeds, who rank in the bottom half for goals against and xG against.

STRIKERS

Harry Kane (Tottenham)

Only Erling Haaland has scored more Premier League goals than Kane, who also sits second for xG.

The England captain also ranks fourth for shots on target in the division.

He had two shots on target (and scored) in this fixture last season.

Neal Maupay (Everton)

Maupay has racked up 0.62 xG per 90 since signing for Everton, an impressive tally.

The Frenchman took five shots against Liverpool last month, two (scoring with one) against West Ham in the following game and three at Southampton last time out on Saturday.

Man Utd have conceded an xG against of 1.36 or more in six of their seven league games.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

Nottingham Forest have conceded 10 goals in their last three games against Bournemouth, Fulham and Leicester, so are worth targeting this weekend.

The best bet from Aston Villa is striker Ollie Watkins.

He ranks second for xG + xA in Steven Gerrard’s squad, behind Emi Buendia, who is not as sure to play.
