Rob Eddy's tips for the Premier League game at Goodison Park include a handicap and anytime goalscorer.
Everton and Arsenal met in a crucial clash at Goodison Park last season that turned the Toffees fortunes around after Sean Dyche won that first game in charge before leading the team to safety.
The hosts look set for another battle against the drop this season after starting the campaign by taking just one point from their four games, and they face a tough task against an Arsenal side coming into this match on the back of a 3-1 win over Manchester United.
Gunners to dominate
Everton stayed up by the barest of margins last season but their struggles have continued into the new campaign, and they look unlikely to get much out of this clash against an Arsenal side on the title trail.
The Toffees have conceded eight times and scored twice in four games, and losing three of those without scoring.
They are also without a number of their key men for this clash, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, James Tarkowski and Michael Keane all doubts.
The visitors will arrive on a high following their 3-1 win over Manchester United in the final game before the international break, taking them to 10 points from a possible 12.
Arsenal have won three of the last four meetings between this pair by at least two goals, with the 1-0 Everton win last season the exception, and they can overcome a goal deficit on the handicap in this one.
Jesus can make it two in a row
Gabriel Jesus’ career at Arsenal has been stunted by injuries but the Brazilian may finally be back to match fitness after coming off the bench against Manchester United last time out.
Jesus may well start this clash and looks a solid pick to get on the scoresheet.
The forward scored a fine counter-attacking goal against the Red Devils to open his account for the season and is fancied to follow up against an Everton defence that has been leaky.
Corner count likely to be high
Three of Arsenal’s four league games this season have gone over 2.5 goals and the same is fancied in this clash, considering the weakness of Everton’s defence as well as their injury issues.
There could also be a large number of corners in this game.
Arsenal have won the most corners in the Premier League this season, racking up 36 in four games.
Everton are no slouches on that count either with 29 corners for the Toffees across their four matches.
Between the pair, the two teams should be able to go over 9.5 corners in this matchup.
Best bets
Arsenal -1 @ 13/10
Gabriel Jesus to score at any time @ 6/4
Over 2.5 goals and over 9.5 corners @ 13/8
