EFL Cup second round football tips 27 08 19

Back our 17/1 five-fold, which includes tips from the second round of the EFL Cup.

Norwich to beat Crawley {ODDS:460133522:1/3}

Norwich have won 11 of their last 12 EFL Cup ties against sides from a lower division, including a 3-1 victory over Crawley in 2014.

The Canaries are likely to rotate following their 3-2 defeat at home to Chelsea on Saturday, but their fringe players should still have enough to beat a side from three tiers below.

Crawley have lost nine of their 11 ties against higher-league opposition in this tournament, while their 3-2 victory over Leyton Orient at the weekend was their first win in three.

Leeds to beat Stoke {ODDS:460127030:1/2}

Leeds hammered Stoke 3-0 away from home in the Championship last weekend, and this should be a repeat result.

That victory put Leeds top of the table with 13 points from five games and further cemented the Potters’ to the bottom, with just one point to their name.

All but one of the Leeds players that beat Salford in the previous round were in the squad for their following league game so, despite Marcelo Bielsa admitting he will make changes, they’re likely to field a  competitive side.

Reading to beat Plymouth {ODDS:460128587:1/1}

Reading have earned seven points from their last three league games, with this weekend’s victory at Huddersfield following an impressive point away to West Brom and a thumping 3-0 win at home to Cardiff.

Plymouth haven’t progressed beyond this stage of the tournament in 12 years, losing to five of the six Championship sides that they have faced during that time.

The hosts have also only won one of their last three matches in League Two.

Sheffield United to beat Blackburn {ODDS:460129810:3/4}

Blackburn needed two stoppage-time goals at home to Oldham (who are third-bottom in League Two) to make it this far in the competition.

They were held to a goalless draw at home to poor travellers Cardiff on Saturday and are in for another tough game here.

Sheffield United finished last season with the best home record in the Championship and beat Blackburn 3-0 at Bramall Lane in December.

MK Dons to beat Southend {ODDS:460130325:13/8}

Southend led Wycombe 3-2 on Saturday before conceding goals in the 89th minute and stoppage time to lose.

The Shrimpers have lost five games out of five in League One and are only above Bolton and Bury in the table.

MK Dons were beaten 4-0 at home to Peterborough on Saturday, but have taken six points from their previous three games and represent great value.
