Here are five football tips Guy Giles thinks you should consider for Oxford United v Manchester City on Wednesday evening.

Man City to win to nil

City won 3-0 at Arsenal on Sunday to record their first clean sheet since 26 October.

Oxford, meanwhile, have failed to find the net in each of their last three in all competitions.

Under 4.5 goals

City have scored five or more goals just once this season – a 5-0 win over West Ham in their Premier League opener on 10 August.

Oxford have conceded just seven goals in their last 10 matches at home.

Phil Foden to score

Foden has started City’s last two matches – against Dinamo Zagreb and Arsenal – scoring once and setting up two.

He is likely to start again on Wednesday having played 90 minutes in the last two rounds, and should be a goal threat once again.

Goal scored between 76-90 minutes

City have netted 11 times in the final 15 minutes of Premier League matches this season, while this has landed in four of their last five in all competitions.

There have also been late goals in four of Oxford’s last five matches at the Kassam.

Alex Rodriguez to be carded

Rodriguez was shown his sixth yellow card of the season over the weekend after returning from a one-match suspension.

He is a prime candidate to be booked on Wednesday, with City set to dominate the midfield.
