FPL tips: Who to transfer in for Gameweek 7

Will Rook picks four players to transfer in, a captain pick and his differential of the week ahead of Gameweek 7.

GK – BERND LENO (£4.7M)

After six matches, Leno has already had two 10-point hauls and earned three clean sheets.

He is the top-scoring goalkeeper in FPL with 35 points and, at £4.7m, is a relative bargain. Given that Fulham host out-of-form Chelsea, who have scored just five goals, on Monday, it could be another good week for Leno owners.

DEF – JAMES TARKOWSKI (£4.4M)

This isn’t a long-term suggestion but with Everton playing against Luton and Bournemouth in their next two, Tarkowski is a decent option at the price.

The Everton defender is coming into the weekend on the back of a 14-point gameweek last time out, having contributed a goal and assist in the 3-1 victory over Brentford.

With an ownership of just 2.4 per cent of players, it’s a chance to make up some differential points as well.

MID – ANTHONY GORDON (£5.6M)

Following the injury to Harvey Barnes, and Gordon’s starring role in Newcastle’s 8-0 thumping of Sheffield United, it’s likely he will start against Burnley.

His 12-point haul was his second 10+ haul of the season, having also earned 10 against Liverpool in Gameweek 3.

Gordon is also rated at 11/8 to score on Saturday, which is a shorter price than any other non-striker.

FW – CARLTON MORRIS (£5.6M)

Double Gameweek alert.

Luton’s rescheduled game at home to Burnley on Tuesday, which follows their trip to Goodison Park on Saturday, gives them a great chance to get a few points on the board.

The same can be said for their players in FPL.

Morris is already their top point scorer with 26, and should get more chances to add to his tally over the next seven days.

At 11/4, he’s also Luton’s likeliest scorer against Everton.

CAPTAIN PICK – PHIL FODEN (£7.6M)

Bernardo Siva’s injury should mean that Foden retains his place in the Manchester City starting XI this weekend. With Jack Grealish making his first start back from injury in midweek, it seems unlikely that Pep Guardiola will risk him with another start here.

Foden notched 11 points with a goal and a clean sheet against Nottingham Forest and could do similar at Molineux, where he is 9/5 to score anytime – only Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez are shorter.

DIFFERENTIAL OF THE WEEK – MADS ANDERSEN (£4M)

It should come as no surprise that a Luton player takes this spot in their Double Gameweek.

Andersen has featured in four of the Hatters’ five Premier League fixtures so far this season and is their highest-scoring defender with 11 points.

At just £4m and with an ownership of 1.9 per cent, he’s could do some damage against two sides who have scored just nine goals between them.
