There are some intriguing groups for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and we have picked out a betting suggestion for all eight.

The new-look FIFA Club World Cup kicks off later this month as some of the world’s top club sides battle it out for a piece of summer silverware.

In previous years, this competition has been contested by seven clubs (the winners of the continental club competitions) and has taken place in December.

The new format follows a similar blueprint to a major international competition – with eight groups and then knockout rounds.

In this article, we take a look at all eight groups and provide a FIFA Club World Cup betting tip for each one.

Group A – Palmeiras, Porto, Al Ahly, Inter Miami CF

Group A looks to be a competitive batch of four with Brazilian big guns Palmeiras and Portuguese giants Porto paired with Egyptian champions Al Ahly SC and a star-studded Inter Miami side.

The fight for top spot could come down to a two-way battle between Palmeiras and Porto, and the Brazilian club could be worth siding with as slight underdogs.

Palmeiras are an incredibly tough team to break down and have a strong record in the Copa Libertadores, so they could take top spot here.

Tip: Palmeiras to win the group @ 15/8

Group B – Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, Seattle Sounders FC

Group B looks one of the main contenders for the ‘Group of Death’, alongside Group C, as Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain have been drawn with Copa Libertadores holders Botafogo, La Liga big guns Atletico Madrid and home hopefuls Seattle Sounders.

PSG are the clear favourites to top the group, but taking a chance on outsiders Botafogo looks worth the risk here. Fogo were exceptional in their Copa Libertadores win last season and they reigned supreme in Brazil as well by taking the title.

Tip: Botafogo to win the group @ 9/1

Group C – Bayern Munich, Auckland City, Boca Juniors, Benfica

Auckland City seem set to fall at the first hurdle and the New Zealand outfit will be joined by a big team in making an early exit.

Benfica are a strong side but have had a season of near misses, finishing second in the Portuguese top flight and as runners-up in the Taca de Portugal. They could be edged out by Bayern and Boca in the first round.

Tip: Benfica to be eliminated @ 6/4

Group D – Flamengo, Esperance de Tunis, Chelsea, Los Angeles FC

Group D could be a straight fight between Chelsea and Flamengo for the top spot and the preference is for the latter, taking the prices into consideration.

Flamengo will be the fresher of these two teams coming into the tournament, as Chelsea have just finished the Premier League season and they also went all the way in the Conference League.

Flamengo are enjoying a fine season as they lead the way in Brazil’s Serie A and are through to the Copa Libertadores knockout stages. The Rubro-Negro are in form and they could pull off a small upset by topping this pile of four.

Tip: Flamengo to win the group @ 11/4

Group E – River Plate, Urawa Red Diamonds, Monterrey, Inter Milan

Inter Milan suffered a demoralising 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final but this competition offers a chance to respond to a degree.

The Nerazzurri’s exertions in the Champions League may mean they struggle a bit with fatigue in the USA, but they have a favourable group draw and can at least send out a statement of intent by topping this group – with River Plate their main rivals.

Tip: Inter Milan to win the group @ 2/5

Group F – Fluminense, Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan, Mamelodi Sundowns

Borussia Dortmund had a fantastic end to the season in the Bundesliga with seven wins in their last eight games to snatch a place in next season’s Champions League.

If BVB can carry that kind of form into this competition, they should comfortably win what looks like a fairly weak group.

Tip: Borussia Dortmund to win the group @ 1/2

Group G – Manchester City, Wydad AC, Al Ain, Juventus

Group G looks like a two-way fight between holders Manchester City and Juventus, and the Italian outfit look a decent bet here.

Juve beat Manchester City in the League Phase of the Champions League and finished ahead of them in the standings.

The Old Lady enjoyed a strong end to the season in Serie A and they may be able to edge out defending champions City, who come into this competition after a disastrous season by their standards.

Tip: Juventus to win the group @ 2/1

Group H – Real Madrid, Al-Hilal, Pachuca, Red Bull Salzburg

Real Madrid are the heavy favourites to top Group H and the best angle here could be backing these teams to provide the most goals.

Real are a level above all three of their Group H rivals and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them wrack up plenty of goals across their three games.

Salzburg are also an incredibly attacking side, while Pachuca’s Liga MX games averages a solid 2.8 goals per-game. Al-Hilal have the free-scoring Aleksandar Mitrovic on their books, so Group H looks to have a good chance of providing the most goals.

Tip: Highest Scoring Group @ 5/1
