FA Cup Final: Will Grealish sing ‘God Save The Queen’ at Wembley?

Villa youngster 7/4 to sing the Anthem ahead of this Saturday's Wembley showdown

At the 2000 Playoff Final between Ipswich Town and Barnsley – the last to be held at the old Wembley Stadium – English born, Republic of Ireland International Matt Holland raised a few eyebrows when he belted out ‘God Save The Queen’ prior to kick-off.

15 years on, at this weekend’s FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Aston Villa, Villa starlet Jack Grealish could find himself in a similarly sticky situation.

The Solihull-born 19-year-old has been courting the attention of Roy Hodgson after some eye-catching displays at Villa Park this season, but having already turned out for Ireland at U17, U18 and U21 level, as well as previously declining the chance to play for England U17s, the Three Lions boss knows he faces a fight in convincing the young star to make the switch.

Having appeared for neither senior team, Grealish is still eligible to make a choice between the two – but is as yet said to be undecided.

Could this weekend’s Cup Final provide us with a possible hint as to his desired International future?

We’ve priced Grealish at 7/4 to sing God Save The Queen in a host of FA Cup Final Specials we’ve added ahead of this Saturday’s Wembley showdown.

And speaking of career-defining decisions, Theo Walcott and Christian Benteke are another two stars expected to make announcements on their futures in the coming weeks.

Could it be the last time we witness Walcott and Benteke in the respective red of Arsenal and claret of Villa? We’re also offering 4/1 that the Final is Theo’s Arsenal swansong whilst we go Evens that the match is Benteke’s farewell.

For the perfect goodbye to the Villa Park faithful, you can grab 11/2 on the Belgian signing off with a goal before departing in the summer.
