EFL football tips for Saturday 24 11 18

Had you placed a £10 stake on Will Rook’s EFL football betting tips for the 2018/19 season, your profit would be:

Acca: £610

Singles: £181.60

Millwall to beat Bolton

Bolton signed off for the international break with a 1-0 defeat to Swansea – their fourth straight loss and sixth in a seven-game winless run.

Phil Parkinson’s side are among the least adventurous in the Championship. They average just 2.8 shots on target per game and having scored just 11 times in 17 matches – the second-fewest and fewest respective totals in the league.

It is difficult to see how they can take anything from their trip to Millwall, who have won their last three matches at the Den.

Charlton to beat Bristol Rovers

Charlton haven’t played a league game since the international break, but got back into it with a 5-0 victory at home to Mansfield in the FA Cup in midweek.

The Addicks have won back-to-back matches in League One and have also won both of their games they have played against the current bottom four.

Bristol Rovers dropped into the relegation zone with a defeat at home to fellow relegation candidates Scunthorpe, and they have managed just one away win in 10 matches in all competitions.

Portsmouth to beat Scunthorpe

Portsmouth stayed top of the table despite not playing and come into this game on the back of three straight victories in all competitions.

Kenny Jackett’s side have won six of their seven matches against the current bottom seven and look great value against relegation-threatened opposition.

Scunthorpe beat fellow strugglers Bristol Rovers last weekend, but has earned just one point in their previous six league games.

Sunderland to beat Walsall

Walsall’s 0-0 draw away to Fleetwood last weekend means they have earned just four points in the last six league games, with their only victory coming against strugglers Wycombe.

The Saddlers’ poor form is understandable, given that they have the third-worst xG rating in League One behind bottom-of-the-league Bradford and third-bottom Plymouth.

Sunderland’s 1-1 draw with Wycombe last weekend ended an eight-game winning streak, but they are still unbeaten in 12 matches in all competitions and have to be backed at odds against.

MK Dons to beat Stevenage

MK Dons went top of League Two after their 2-0 win over Macclesfield at the weekend, which was their seventh league win in an eight-game unbeaten run.

Paul Tisdale’s side have given up just one goal in that sequence and are one of the most-effective sides in the division when it comes to chance creation.

Stevenage were hammered 4-0 by Bury last weekend and have now lost their last three games, failing to score in any.
