EFL acca: A 6/1 treble for Saturday’s games

Tom Hill reveals his best bets for Saturday's matches across the Championship, League One and League Two.

Best bets

BTTS – Cardiff v Hull City
Over 2.5 goals – Reading v Lincoln
Stockport County to win

Acca pays 6/1

Cardiff v Hull City (15:00)

Only two points and one place separate Cardiff and Hull ahead of Saturday’s Championship encounter in the Welsh capital.

Hull, who are 10th, just about have the upper hand ahead of kick-off, while they also have a game in hand over their hosts, but a recent dip in form has seen them drop down the Championship table to leave them six points behind the top six.

The Bluebirds have won five of their last seven games and have only lost two of their last eight, while they have scored five goals in their last four home games in the Championship.

Hull have only kept one clean sheet in their last 10 league matches, but they know how to get the better of the Bluebirds, having won the previous five meetings between the two sides.

The Tigers have scored in 16 of their 19 away matches this season, and both teams should be able to find the back of the net on Saturday.

Reading v Lincoln (15:00)

In-form Lincoln travel to troubled Reading on Saturday, looking to consolidate their place in the playoffs.

They have won their last five in the third tier as part of an impressive 15-match unbeaten run in League One and have scored goals for fun of late, registering 20 goals in their last five games in the third tier.

Lincoln may end up having too much quality for Reading but the Royals are set to play their part in this clash after beating Cambridge 4-0 and Northampton 1-0 in their last two at home.

Furthermore, Reading have found the back of the net in 15 successive games so backing over 2.5 goals looks to be the safer play.

Sutton United v Stockport County (15:00)

Stockport County now have a four-point cushion at the top of League Two, and they could be just weeks away from promotion.

After a little wobble earlier in the year, Stockport are now unbeaten in eight, and they have won three league games on the spin ahead of the trip to Sutton.

They also kept clean sheets in those recent games against MK Dons, Forest Green Rovers and AFC Wimbledon while scoring nine goals.

Hosts Sutton will have some belief that they can spring a surprise after racking up four straight wins themselves, results which have helped them climb out of the bottom two.

However, all of those victories came against teams in the bottom half of the table, so this represents a much tougher test and it is likely they will find Stockport, who won the earlier fixture between the two sides 8-0 at home, too much to handle again.
