Sunderland to beat Barnsley -

Sunderland have been resurgent since Chris Coleman's arrival at the end of November, and now find themselves outside the relegation zone.

The Black Cats rounded off 2017 with an impressive away victory over Nottingham Forest and have lost just one in five.

Barnsley drew with Reading last time out and have picked up just four points in a 10-match winless run.

Wigan to beat Northampton -

League One leaders Wigan have faltered with two consecutive goalless draws, but should put that right on Monday.

The Latics have dropped just four points in their last seven away games and have won their previous two with an aggregate scoreline of 11-0.

Northampton are five points adrift of safety after blowing a one-goal lead against Portsmouth, meaning they have now lost four of their last six.

Shrewsbury to beat Oldham -

Shrewsbury recorded their fifth victory in a seven-match unbeaten run two days ago to narrow the gap to Wigan to just two points.

Oldham had to come from behind to draw with Bristol Rovers on Saturday and have managed just one league victory in eight.

Without top scorer Eoin Doyle for the foreseeable future, Richie Wellens' side will struggle to get anything out of this one.

Scunthorpe to beat Bury -

Scunthorpe picked up a decent point against fellow promotion contenders Blackburn on Saturday.

That was the Iron's fourth league game without defeat, while they have also won eight of their last 12.

Bury remain bottom of the league after their fourth straight loss, and are now 11 points from safety.

Coventry to beat Chesterfield -

Coventry strengthened their promotion push with a 1-0 victory at Carlisle on Saturday, which left them within two points of the automatic-promotion spots.

That was the third league victory in four for the Sky Blues, who have also won nine out of 13 at the Ricoh Arena.

Third-bottom Chesterfield have picked up just one point from a possible 12 and have lost five out of seven on the road.
