Champions League tips: A 34/1 four-fold for Matchday 4

This week's best Champions League bets include a win for Aston Villa and a low-scoring affair when Arsenal visit Inter.

The Champions League returns on Tuesday as the best teams in Europe prepare to play their fourth game in this season’s competition.

Only Aston Villa and Liverpool have managed to win their opening three games in the competition, while the likes of Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid have all endured surprisingly slow starts.

With matchday four on the horizon, we have picked out a fourfold acca that offers plenty of value.

Hosts can bounce back from El Clasico disaster

Real Madrid are back in action in their first game since they lost 4-0 to Barcelona in the first El Clasico of the season.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team had won three games in a row heading into that tie and they will look to respond at the first opportunity.

The hosts are unbeaten in their last 15 home games in the Champions League and they have tasted victory in 12 of those.

AC Milan have lost two of their first three games in Europe and have only beaten Club Brugge, but they should have some joy in front of goal.

Ancelotti’s side have only kept one clean sheet in their last nine games in all competitions, while I Rossoneri have scored in 11 of their 13 matches this season.

Sporting to add to City’s woes

Manchester City have lost their last two games in all competitions ahead of their visit to Lisbon to take on Sporting on Tuesday.

Not since August 2021 have City tasted defeat in three consecutive matches, but Sporting look like they could at least claim a share of the spoils.

Ruben Amorim, who will move to Manchester United next week, has guided his team to a 15-match unbeaten run.

Striker Viktor Gyokeres has scored 24 goals in 20 appearances for club and country this season and he should be able to punish a City team that have only kept two clean sheets in seven away games.

Villa to continue marching on under Emery

Aston Villa will hope to end a three-match winless run on Wednesday when they face Club Brugge.

The Villans have struggled in recent weeks, but they should have too much for Club Brugge, having already beaten Young Boys, Bayern Munich and Bologna.

The hosts should play their part after scoring in each of their last nine games, and both teams have scored in four of Villa’s previous five matches.

Villa’s squad has already proven they can handle the big occasion, though, and they should pick up another three points.

Close battle expected in Milan

Arsenal will hope to return to winning ways when they head to Italy to take on Inter Milan on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s team lost 1-0 to Newcastle on Saturday, meaning they have now won just one of their last five on the road.

A close game is expected in Milan, with both teams to score only landing in two of Arsenal’s last 17 away matches, while the hosts have kept five clean sheets in their previous seven games.

Inter will expect to keep things tight and hope to squeeze past a Gunners side low on confidence.
