Champions League ACCA: Five tips for Tuesday with huge profit on offer

With teams only a game away from the group stages, the play-off second legs are bound to produce plenty of drama and excitement

6/4 – Celtic to beat Malmo

Celtic travel to Malmo FF knowing a place in the group stages is far from guaranteed after last week’s 3-2 win.

The two away goals the Swedish side netted in Glasgow mean the Hoops need to attack themselves as a narrow loss could cost them.

They followed up their first-leg win with a 3-1 win against Dundee United on Saturday and are in fine goalscoring form, having netted 14 in their last five games in all competitions.

Malmo fell 1-0 to Hacken at the weekend and may struggle to deal with a Celtic side determined to achieve Champions League football.
12/5 – Monaco and Valencia to draw

Valencia have one foot in the group stages after last week’s 3-1 home win against Monaco and will be confident of making the group stages of the competition for the first time in three seasons.

The Spanish side outplayed their French counterparts in the first-leg and will set up to avoid defeat here.

Monaco drew 1-1 with Toulouse at the weekend and are without a win in three in all competitions.

They need to attack from the outset but will struggle to break down a Valencia defence that kept a clean sheet in their away game at Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

11/10– FC Basel to beat Maccabi Tel Aviv

Basel travel to Israel off the back of a dramatic 2-2 draw in last week’s home leg in a game that saw Tel Aviv net in the 96th minute to cancel out Basel’s 88th-minute strike.

The Swiss side dominated the game and somehow failed to win, but that shouldn’t happen again as a place in the group stages will be enough motivation to see them perform better.

Basel have made the group stages in four of the last five seasons and should do so here.

They won 3-1 away on Saturday in their domestic game, while Maccabi edged their league game 3-2 on home soil.

4/5 – Shakhtar Donetsk to beat Rapid Wien

Shakhtar have made the group stages of the Champions League in each of the past five seasons and shouldn’t face too much difficulty in making that six on Tuesday night.

They beat Austrian outfit Rapid Wien 1-0 away last week and will likely prove too strong on home soil here.

A 3-0 away win at the weekend in their league game sets them up well and the Ukrainian side look great value to win this one.

1/4 – Dinamo Zagreb to beat Skenderbeu Korce

Dinamo Zagreb are the biggest favourites of the five teams here and will be confident of making the group stages for the first time in three years when they host Albanian side Skenderbeu.

Dinamo rallied from a goal down to win the first-leg 2-1 and dominated most of the game.

Skenderbeu have lost four of their last seven away games in Champions League qualifiers and will struggle to cope with the Croatian side here.
