FLEETWOOD TOWN v LEICESTER CITY
Leicester to win –
Leicester have already beaten two Championship sides in the EFL Cup this season.
So beating Fleetwood, who are in the division below and on the back of three consecutive defeats at home, should prove no problem.
Both teams to score –
The Foxes’ 3-0 victory over Huddersfield on New Year’s Day was their first clean sheet in seven matches, four of which were against teams below them.
Given Fleetwood have only failed to find the net in three of their 18 games at Highbury in all competitions, they ought to get on the scoresheet.
Islam Slimani to score –
With Jamie Vardy a doubt to play against his former side, Slimani is almost certain to feature.
The Algerian scored against Huddersfield last time out and has four more to his name in cup competitions this season, so he is sure to make the most of his playing time.
Kyle Dempsey to be carded –
Three of Dempsey’s six bookings this season have come in his last seven appearances.
The central midfielder – who also saw red back in September – will no doubt be treading another fine line as he squares up to Premier League opposition.
