Here are Will Rook‘s weekend football tips to help you on your way.

Hull to beat Cardiff

Hull come into this game in their best form of the season, having won three and drawn one of their last five games.

The only defeat in that run came away to second-placed Sheffield United last month, while a victory here could take them to within three points of the play-off places.

Cardiff are just one place above the relegation zone and have gone 12 without a victory in all comeptitions.

Middlesbrough to beat Blackpool

This is a short price, but third-placed Middlesbrough look irresistible at the moment.

Michael Carrick’s side have won nine of their last 12 league games, including four straight victories at The Riverside.

Second-bottom Blackpool are winless in their last 10 matches.

Colchester to beat Barrow

Colchester have dragged themselves out of relegation trouble following a run of four victories and a draw in their last six matches.

That sequence of results has put a nine-point buffer between themselves and the bottom two, and they can extend that here.

Barrow were hammered 5-1 by local rivals Carlisle in midweek, meaning they have lost five and won just one of their last nine games, conceding five goals on two occasions.

Gillingham to beat Crawley

Gillingham look in great nick following a takeover and January revolution, which has seen them splash the cash on 10 new signings – a number of whom would look more at home towards the other end of the table.

The Gills have taken seven points from their last three matches – the first time they have done so this season – to boost their survival hopes, and more than doubled their overall goal tally (13) in that period.

Crawley are winless away from home in all 14 matches in all competitions this season.

AFC Wimbledon to beat Leyton Orient

League Two leaders Leyton Orient are having a wobble, having lost three of their last five matches and won one in seven.

Richie Wellens’ side have seen their seven-point lead over second-placed Stevenage cut to just two in that time, having also played two more.

Wimbledon beat in-form Stockport 1-0 last weekend and have only been beaten once in their last 14 league games.
