Here are our writers' predictions for each division...
LEAGUE ONE
Top pick: Wigan Athletic
Wigan are beginning to flex their muscles in League One, and should definitely secure a victory at Scunthorpe on Saturday.
Having scored 12 goals in their last six matches, it is about time they netted an early one, too.
Honourable mention: Southend United
The Shrimpers have been the League One winners in the last two weeks. They travel to Doncaster, who have conceded inside the first 35 minutes of their last two home games.
LEAGUE TWO
Top pick: Notts County
League Two leaders Notts County have won eight of their last 10 matches, and have scored in the first 20 minutes of matches three times.
They should run riot against Forest Green, the league’s slowest starters.
Bottom-of-the-league Rovers are without a win in 10 and have already shipped seven in the opening half hour of games.
Honourable mentions: Stevenage, Lincoln
Stevenage have won three consecutive league games. They travel to Crewe, who have conceded League Two’s opening goal in each of the last three weekends.
Lincoln bagged after seven minutes against Barnet in their last home game and are worth considering against Chesterfield, who have lost four on the spin.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
Top pick: Macclesfield Town
Macclesfield are one of the National League’s most dominant sides during the first 20 minutes of matches, having scored seven and conceded just two.
On Saturday they welcome Ebbsfleet who, with an aggregate score of 6-1 during the same period, are the division’s slowest starters.
On the back of three wins in a row and having taken the lead after just one minute in their most recent home game, the table-toppers are the obvious pick.
Honourable mentions: Torquay United, Dagenham & Redbridge
Torquay got their first win of the season after 14 attempts in midweek with a 4-0 thrashing of Maidenhead that saw them score inside four minutes.
Given three of their 15 goals have already come during the first 10 minutes of matches, don’t be surprised if they pick up where they left off on Saturday.
Finally, Dagenham are comfortably the division’s top scorers and, with a third of their 27 goals coming inside 20 minutes, are always worth considering.

NATIONAL LEAGUE SOUTH
Top pick: Wealdstone
Wealdstone are a sensible pick to score on Saturday given that they’re playing at home to Whitehawk, who are useless.
The visitors are yet to win a game and have conceded 36 goals so far, including four to Havant and Waterlooville, four to Dartford, six to Bognor Regis and seven to Truro City.
Wealdstone have scored in five of their last seven games, and should rack up a few this weekend.
Honourable mentions: Truro City, Dartford
League leaders Truro are on fire, having won six consecutive games and scored two goals or more in five of those matches.
They should score early and often against Hampton and Richmond, who have kept no clean sheets in five.
Dartford have notched 27 goals this season – the most in the league – and are a solid shout to grab an early goal against 18th-placed Bognor Regis.
