World Cup Tips: An 8/1 Bet Builder for France v Morocco
France World Cup betting tips

World Cup title contenders France take on Morocco for a place in the semi-finals on Thursday.

The 2026 World Cup quarter-finals begin with a blockbuster tie as France face Morocco at Boston Stadium on Thursday (9pm BST).

France are the favourites to lift the trophy and the 2018 world champions face arguably their toughest test yet as they bid to continue their progress against AFCON winners Morocco.

We’ve picked out a Bet Builder for the quarter-final which pays out at 8/1 if successful in the World Cup betting market.

Les Bleus to come out on top

France are favourites to lift the World Cup and will be determined to make amends for their penalty shootout defeat to Argentina in Qatar four years ago.

On their run to the final in Qatar they beat Morocco 2-0 in the semi-finals and another victory looks likely against the AFCON champions, particularly with Didier Deschamps’ side looking even stronger this time around.

Les Bleus had to work hard for their 1-0 last-16 victory over Paraguay. Their opponents proved stubborn, but Kylian Mbappe’s penalty settled the contest and took his tournament tally to seven goals.

Morocco suffered a huge blow when Ismael Saibari limped off after only 22 minutes of their 3-0 win over Canada. His three goals in five at the tournament underline just how important he is to their attack and his absence would be a major setback.

France have scored a tournament-high 14 goals and have won all four of their matches. With attacking quality throughout the side, they look well placed to book their place in the semi-finals inside 90 minutes.

Leg 1: France to win in 90 minutes @ 4/7

Mbappe to be on the money

Mbappe’s goal against Paraguay saw him become only the second player to score seven goals at two separate World Cups after Lionel Messi reached the landmark earlier in the tournament, and it is difficult to see him slowing down in the race for the Golden Boot.

After scoring 25 goals in 29 league appearances for Real Madrid and adding another 15 in 10 Champions League matches, it is little surprise he has carried that prolific form into the World Cup.

Leg 2: Kylian Mbappe anytime goalscorer @ 8/11

Creative spark Olise to play his part

Michael Olise has been France’s chief creator at this World Cup, registering five assists from their 14 goals so far.

The Bayern Munich star continues to create chances at an impressive rate and looks capable of adding another assist.

Leg 3: Michael Olise 1+ assists @ 21/10

Dembele to test the goalkeeper

Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele looks a solid selection to register at least one shot on target.

He has averaged one effort on target per game at this World Cup and has scored four goals in the process.

Leg 4: Ousmane Dembele 1+ shots on target @ 19/40

Hakimi to be in the thick of it

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi is likely to come up against club team-mate Bradley Barcola, if the winger starts for France.

That familiarity could work in Hakimi’s favour and he looks capable of making at least two tackles, having averaged 2.2 per game at this World Cup.

Leg 5: Achraf Hakimi 2+ tackles won @ 17/40
