Brazil and Morocco kick off Group C of this summer's World Cup finals when the two sides meet at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday.
The Selecao are among the favourites in the World Cup betting to lift the famous trophy, but face a tricky first game against a Morocco side who have been tipped as dark horses this summer.
Brazil, who actually finished fifth in South America qualifying, and Morocco – who won all eight games to reach the finals – will also face Scotland and Haiti in the group phase.

Brazil have the answers for Morocco challenge
Brazil appear to have hit form at the ideal time, having won three straight matches, scoring a total of 11 goals in the process.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat Egypt 2-1 in a friendly on Saturday, having netted six against Panama, so will be aiming to make it four wins from four when they take on Morocco.
The Atlas Lions are on a run of seven victories in 10 games and last tasted defeat back in August 2025.
However, while Morocco are tough opponents for Brazil and actually won when the two sides last met back in 2023, Ancelotti’s tactical acumen provides the Selecao with a good opportunity to claim the three points on Saturday.
Backing the South Americans to triumph in their opening game may prove to be a smart move.

Selecao to miss out on clean sheet
While Brazil will hope to edge Saturday’s Group C opener, they may have to score more than one goal to do so.
Ancelotti’s men last kept a clean sheet back in November and the last five matches involving the Selecao have seen both sides get on the scoresheet.
Morocco, meanwhile, have not drawn a blank since a goalless draw in 90 minutes against Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations, scoring five against Burundi in May, before netting another four when facing Madagascar last week.
The Atlas Lions also got on the scoresheet against Norway and so backing both teams to score on Saturday looks like a wise pick.

Igor Thiago scoring run to continue
Brazil forward Igor Thiago has enjoyed a fine campaign, scoring 22 goals for Brentford in the Premier League, and will hope to continue that form for his country at the World Cup.
While he didn’t get on the scoresheet against Egypt on Saturday, the striker has kept his cool to net a penalty in the wins over both Croatia and Panama.
The 24-year-old is expected to feature in the Brazil frontline against Morocco and will be confident of netting in the Group C opener, whether starting or coming off the bench.
