5/4 – Martin Gould to beat John Higgins
These two met in the final of the first ranking event of the season and it was Higgins who came out on top in a thrilling contest.
Gould pushed the Scot all the way before the match was decided 9-8 in the final frame, despite the former scoring more centuries and points.
The Pinner Potter was in cracking form as he hammered Barry Hawkins 5-1 in the opening round, knocking in a century along the way.
Gould has won two of the last three meetings between the pair.
2/7 – Judd Trump to beat Matt Selt
Trump looked in fine fettle in the opening round, dispatching Robert Milkins 5-0.
The Bristolian is favourite to win the tournament and it would be a massive surprise if he exited at this stage.
Selt actually has an impressive record against his opponent, though, winning three of their last four meetings.
He only reached this stage thanks to the withdrawal of Ricky Walden, however, and Trump should have too much for him.
1/5 – Mark Allen to beat David Grace
Grace also reached the second round due to a withdrawal and is unlikely to go any further than facing Mark Allen in the last 16.
Allen has not achieved great results of late, but he had to be near his best to get past Luca Brecel 5-3 in the previous round, with the Belgian hitting a sensational 140 break at one stage.
The Northern Irishman has a fine record at the event, reaching the final last year, and is bound to progress to the next stage of the competition.
A £10 bet on the treble pays £34.71*.
