Super Bowl tips: A 12/1 Bet Builder for Seattle Seahawks vs New England Patriots
Super Bowl picks

Seattle Seahawks face New England Patriots in what is a repeat of Super Bowl XLIX when they take to the field at Levi's Stadium on Sunday.

After another gruelling NFL season, the stage is set for Super Bowl LX and the New England Patriots will take on the Seattle Seahawks for a chance to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Both teams finished with 14-3 regular-season records, but the Seahawks were given a Bye in round one of the playoffs after securing the No.1 seed spot in the NFC. They have beaten the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams to reach the pinnacle of the sport, while the Patriots had to navigate their way past the Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans and Denver Broncos in the AFC.

We’ve picked out four bets for the big game which pays out at 12/1 if successful.

Super Bowl LX Bet Builder

  • Seattle Seahawks -4.5 @ 10/11
  • Under 45.5 Points @ 10/11
  • Drake Maye 40+ Rushing Yards @ 1/1
  • Kenneth Walker III 20+ Receiving Yards @ 5/7

Seattle’s time for revenge

These two organisations met in Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, with New England running out 28-24 winners thanks to more brilliance from Tom Brady and Malcolm Butler’s decisive goal-line interception.

Seattle’s fans will not have forgotten about that defeat and their players can help them erase that memory this weekend. The Seahawks have the better defence out of the pair and they have hit their stride at the perfect time.

Mike Macdonald’s team have won nine games in a row and they have only improved throughout the playoffs.

New England struggled for large parts of their 10-7 success over the Denver Broncos, even before the snow fell, and Seattle are better in every department than the Broncos.

Leg 1: Seattle Seahawks -4.5 @ 10/11

Defences to rule supreme in Santa Clara

Seattle conceded the fewest points per game in the regular season, allowing 17.2, while the Patriots were fourth in that category, having only conceded 18.8.

Mike Vrabel’s defence is competitive and has forced errors all season long and they have only conceded 26 points in three playoff games so far. Their regular-season schedule was easier than most of the NFL and they took full advantage, but they have now regressed when it comes to points scored on offence.

They failed to surpass 16 points in two playoff games and life is about to get a lot harder against the relentless Seahawks defence.

Leg 2: Under 45.5 Points @ 10/11

Maye on the move

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has had a memorable second season in the NFL and he could make history this weekend.

Sadly for Maye, his team’s inconsistent offensive line will get him in trouble. He was sacked 47 times in the regular season, while he has been brought down a further 15 times in the playoffs.

Maye has rushed for over 60 yards in wins over the Chargers and Broncos, while he has gained 40 rushing yards or more in four of his team’s last seven appearances.

Leg 3: Drake Maye 40+ Rushing Yards @ 1/1

Seahawks to alter their gameplan

The Patriots have one of the best rush defences in the NFL and they have conceded the fewest rushing yards in the playoffs. Vrabel’s team have only allowed 71.3 rushing yards per game in the postseason, so that means Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III will have to adapt.

Thankfully for the Seahawks, he is an elite pass catcher and will be given most of the workload with fellow back Zach Charbonnet injured.

Walker III caught four passes for 49 yards against the Rams, meaning he has now surpassed 20 receiving yards in four of his last five games.

Leg 4: Kenneth Walker III 20+ Receiving Yards @ 5/7
