As ever, it is difficult to bet against Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
A top-five team both offensively and defensively, they have suffered just two defeats all season, one of which was when Brady was suspended in Week 4.
They have had a relatively easy route to the Super Bowl, however.
Atlanta’s offense is far better than any other that New England have faced this season, and Ben Roethlisberger is arguably the only top quarterback they have met before Matt Ryan on Sunday.
The Falcons have scored 40 points or more on four occasions since the campaign’s halfway point, and have not failed to score under 33 in a game since Week 13.
They are absolutely dominant on that side of the ball, with so many varied attacking options that there is no obvious way to slow them down.
The underdogs have prevailed in each of the last five Super Bowls, and at {ODDS:132654624:13/10}, Atlanta are great value to continue that run.
Total points
It’s tempting to bet on a huge amount of points being scored here, given that these are two of the best offenses in the NFL.
The current line of 58.5 points seems just too high, though, particularly as Super Bowls often start out cagily as the coaches attempt to figure out their opponents’ game plans.
It is also easy to forget that, while these teams are both explosive offensively, they also possess excellent defences.
The Patriots have allowed just 15.6 points per game all season, whereas the Falcons have limited their last six opponents to an average of 19.3.
So while it might seem scary to back against either of these teams scoring, under 58.5 total points at {ODDS:132654629:10/11} is the right move here.
MVP
Quarterbacks traditionally take this prize, so the most sensible move here is to take the passer from the team you are backing to win.
There is little value, or fun, in that, though.
Instead, put your money on Falcons receiver Julio Jones at {ODDS:133117254:16/1}.
The 28-year-old led all but one player in receiving yards this year, and recorded 180 with two touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers last time out.
With another performance like that in a Falcons win, he will become the second receiver to win the award since Santonio Holmes in 2009.
First touchdown
Jones, again, looks the best bet here at {ODDS:133118924:15/2}.
The Falcons like to spread the ball around offensively, but Jones is Matt Ryan’s top target, and he has caught four touchdowns in the past three games.
Devonta Freeman, also at {ODDS:133118923:15/2}, is another fine option to take advantage of Betway’s Touchdown Special.
The running back led the Falcons in touchdowns this season, and has recorded multiple scores on three separate occasions since Week 12.
