2.25 – Park Stakes (Doncaster)

The one I’m going for here is Godolphin’s HOME OF THE BRAVE  .

Trained by Hugo Palmer, the five-year-old is a real solid performer with seven wins, four seconds and a third from 15 runs.

I tipped him when he won the Betway Criterion Stakes in July and he is proven over this 7f trip.

Although Breton Rock  pipped him right at the end in the Lennox Stakes, I think he’s a much more consistent performer and looks a good bet here.

2.40 – Stand Cup Stakes (Chester)

The one tip I have from Chester comes in the Stand Cups Stakes and I’m going for DURETTO .

He is a decent performer for Andrew Balding having notched up four wins and four seconds from 15 runs, but has only ran once in the past 11 months.

Grand National-winning jockey Graham Lee is the man on board who also rode his last victory, which came at Newbury as a 20/1 shout in October 2016.

He had a decent performance on his return last time out when he finished third on this course behind Western Hymn and Us Army Ranger.

The lack of action is a minor concern but, proven over 1m 4f, I still think he’s the one to beat.

3.00 – Champagne Stakes (Doncaster)

Godolphin’s Mythical Magic  is the short favourite having won his first two in impressive fashion.

However, I’m going to take him on with Mark Johnston’s DREAM TODAY .

This colt was a very impressive 14/1 winner on debut at York, winning by 1½ lengths in a field of 17 that included Laugh A Minute – winner of the 2-Y-O Stakes on Thursday.

Already victorious over 7f and given Johnston’s incredible record with two-year-olds, I think he’s a good price here.

3.35 – St Leger Stakes (Doncaster)

There’s a decent case to be made for a lot of this field, but the one I’m backing here is Sir Michael Stoute’s CRYSTAL OCEAN .

The colt is yet to finish outside the top three from his five runs and was an emphatic winner in the Gordon Stakes, romping home by 3½ lengths.

Two of his defeats came against the late Permian, where he was just beaten by the better horse.

Jim Crowley takes the ride for the first time and has won more Group 1s over the last year than in his entire career previously.

He’s yet to taste victory in this race but I think he looks a good bet to bring that run to an end.
