Saturday racing tips: Best bets for Ascot and Wetherby 02 11 19

Our tipster reveals his best bets for a busy day of racing at Ascot and Wetherby as well as a win double and an each-way lucky 15.

LADY BUTTONS {ODDS:494420496:15/8} won this Mares’ Hurdle and I think she has a great chance of repeating that success.

She was superb last season for Philip Kirby, proving herself over both hurdles and fences, including in the Grade 2 Mares’ Hurdle at Doncaster.

She was a runner-up to Moon Over Germany last time out in the Red Rum Chase at Aintree, which was a respectable result. I do think she’s better over hurdles and is tough to beat here.

14:10 ASCOT

There is more Listed action up next, and I think THE LAST DAY {ODDS:494421810:9/2} should be right up there.

The seven-year-old had a very consistent 2019, finishing second twice in January and then finally getting back to winning ways with an easy victory at Carlisle in March.

His jumping is fluent and I don’t think he’ll have any issues with the step up in trip.

The West Yorkshire Hurlde is a very competitive Grade 2 race, and I think Harry Fry’s UNOWHATIMEANHARRY {ODDS:494420508:5/2} can get back to his best.

Last season was mixed for the 11-year-old but he finished in emphatic style with a three-length victory in the Champion Stayers Hurdle at Punchestown, beating Bacardys and Bapaume.

He’ll have no issues with the 3m trip but does carry a penalty, which could edge Ballyandy into favourite.

I’m still confident Aidan Coleman can get the job done, though.

We finish with the Charlie Hall Chase, where I’m really struggling to see how LA BAGUE AU ROI {ODDS:494420542:5/2} can be beaten.

She’s turned into a superb chaser whose main highlight last year was her victory in the Kauto Star Chase – beating RSA winner and runner-up Topofthegame and Santini.

She backed that up with another classy Grade 1 victory at Leopardstown and finished the season with a narrow second to Kalashnikov in the Manifesto at Aintree.

Carrying 10-10 is a huge advantage, so I think she’ll get the job done without too much trouble.
