Saturday horse racing tips for Newmarket and Haydock 07 08 21

With money back as a free bet if your horse finishes second in all ITV races, Chad Yeomans selects his three best bets from Saturday's racecards.

17:00 NEWMARKET – BUGLE MAJOR (each-way) {ODDS:771724920:SP}

I flagged BUGLE MAJOR as one to watch after Royal Ascot follow his run in the Royal Hunt Cup.

He hasn’t run since but was entered to run at Goodwood last week before being declared a non-runner after the heavens opened over the Sussex racecourse.

This race is much easier than his recent assignments, but you don’t have to dig too far back into his form to notice a second place to Magny Cours – who is rated 115 – at Chantilly in March.

He’s still lightly raced for a six-year-old and I think we’re yet to see the best of him.

16:10 HAYDOCK – FOXES TALES (each-way) {ODDS:771720446:9/2}

Real World is going to be a tough nut to crack, but he’s had two tough races in quick succession off the back of a break and, for reasons that remain a mystery, Haydock is a track where good horses do get beaten.

That is why I think Betway ambassador Andrew Balding’s FOXES TALES represents good each-way value.

He flew home to bolt up in the Golden Gates Handicap at Royal Ascot and was only beaten a head when giving nearly a stone away to most of his rivals at Newmarket. He’s improving, stays well and, getting weight from the favourite, can go close.
