Saturday horse racing tips for Haydock, Ripon and Newmarket

Tom Sutton talks you through his best horse racing tips from all of Saturday's racecards, including an each-way double and four Lucky 15 selections.

With money back as a free bet up to £20 in all ITV races if your horse finishes second, our tipster reveals his best horse racing tips for this weekend…

Another tough weekend of racing this Saturday, so I’m going to try my lucky with some each-way shots, kicking things off with MILITIA {ODDS:325014742:10/1} at Haydock.

Richard Fahey’s colt has had a good start so far with two wins and five places from nine runs, so he has decent form thus far.

Handicap victories over both 5f and 6f at Ayr and Thirsk respectively suggest he should be fine here.

He’s incredibly well handicapped at 8-0 and also has Rhian Ingram’s 5lb claim on board, so I think this looks a great each-way price.

15:35 RIPON

Course specialist PIPERS NOTE {ODDS:325005501:SP} looks a good bet at Ripon for Ruth Carr.

Eight of the veteran’s 12 wins have come on this course and he already has two over this distance over the past two months.

He carries a lot of weight and was disappointing in his last two, but, nevertheless, Jimmy Sullivan knows how to get the best out of this horse and can do so again.

The Cambridgeshire is one of my favourite handicaps of the season and, considering we’re offering seven places, there’s two in this field I like.

My best chance would be David O’Meara’s WAARIF {ODDS:325008894:28/1}.

The five-year-old is definitely one of the form horses coming into the race having won four of his last six. Three were big handicap wins at Carlisle, Ripon and then most recently at Ayr last Saturday.

He has reliable claimer CJ McGovern in the saddle and a favourable draw, so I think he looks a great each-way bet.

The other one who tickles my fancy is ZWAYYAN {ODDS:325008900:22/1} – another five-year-old who relishes these big-field conditions and has endured success both under William Haggas and Andrew Balding.

Two big victories at Haydock, one last October at Ascot and then another last month at Chelmsford are highlights on his CV, and he also finished third in the Shergar Cup Mile.

There aren’t many jockeys more in-form than Jason Watson at the moment. He’s landed five wins and six places over the past week, so I’d be optimistic he can land another big winner here.

The final tip is another from Newmarket, with Mark Johnston’s smart filly I’LL HAVE ANOTHER {ODDS:325008859:15/2}.

After a narrow defeat on debut, she’s bounced back to win her last two at Chelmsford and then Doncaster in June – both over 7f.

Due to that impressive start, she comes into the race top weight at 9-10 but does have champion jockey Silvestre De Sousa in the saddle to hopefully give the Rooney’s another big win.
