Betway 4 To Win: Thursday tips for Goodwood and Galway

Our expert is on hand to help you win a rollover jackpot of £30,000 in our free-to-play prediction game by choosing the winners of four different races.

4 To Win is Betway’s free-to-play prediction game running throughout Glorious Goodwood.

Simply guess the winner from four chosen races for your chance to win a rollover jackpot of £30,000, with another £10,000 added every day the prize goes unclaimed.

Here are Alan Alger‘s top tips to get you started…

TOP PICK: KONCHEK {ODDS:300831765:9/2}

Second choice: Sporting Choice {ODDS:300831802:25/1}

Sporting Chance can be excused his run at Newmarket last time out, when he was restless in the stalls.

Based on his debut win at Wolverhampton, he has a much better chance than his advertised price, but may be better for each-way purposes.

KONCHEK was just a couple of lengths up on Sporting Chance last time out, and can go one better than his runner-up performance that day.

Second choice: Veracious {ODDS:300831766:3/1}

This Group 1 contest over 1m 2f is the feature race of the week for female horses.

In a six-strong field, there are four horses who have very similar claims according to the prices.

WILD ILLUSION can land this for Godolphin, though, who drops back down in trip having been stepped up to tackle the Oaks and then the Ribblesdale.

These conditions look ideal.

16.35 GALWAY

Second choice: Tigris River {ODDS:301223722:14/1}

We head over to Ireland for a classy looking renewal of this 2m Handicap Hurdle.

Eight of the last 10 winners of this race returned at an SP lower than 8/1, so it should pay to focus on the market leaders.

DAVIDS CHARM can land the prize under the talented Rachael Blackmore.

He’s fit from a couple of outings on the flat, but can now add to an impressive set of form figures over obstacles.

Second choice: Rux Power {ODDS:300831798:SP}

Here we have a fair set of juvenile fillies and not much form to go on. Some good stables are represented, though, and this should be competitive.

Triple Group 1 victor Rhododendron won this in 2016, so notebooks should be at the ready.

The most significant thing to factor in when trying to pick the winner is that, in the last decade, no filly has won this race on debut – so we should only focus on those that have already seen a racecourse.

Jeremy Noseda’s LADY COSETTE looks the best of those with a run under their belt.
