Here’s Tom Clee‘s tip for Colombia v England to get you started…
Half-time/Full-time: England/Draw
Six of England’s eight goals in Russia have come during the first half, and I fancy them to make another fast start on Tuesday having enjoyed eight days’ rest.
The Three Lions conceded after the break against both Panama and Belgium, however, while Colombia have hit three after the 70th minute during their last two matches.
England to qualify
Should the game go beyond 90 minutes, then England ought to come out on top.
Colombia were down to 10 men for all but three minutes of their opening match, while their likely starting XI has played a combined eight-and-a-half hours’ more football than England’s at this tournament.
And, even if it does go to penalties, then Gareth Southgate seems to have done everything possible to change England’s fortunes.
Harry Kane to score
Kane has scored 13 goals during his last nine matches for his country.
With the Golden Boot now firmly in his sights, he’s the safest option going when backing a goalscorer.
Over 6.5 England corners
England have looked dangerous from set pieces so far, and it’s an area where they’ll look to target a Colombia side that conceded the winner to Japan straight from a corner.
Southgate’s side racked up 17 during the group stages, and 24 during their final three pre-tournament friendlies.
Under 2.5 Colombia cards
After a calamitous start, Colombia have received just one yellow card in their two matches since.
Given they only amassed six in their last six qualifiers, the South Americans’ discipline is unlikely to slip with their place in the competition on the line.
