England Women will be looking to respond quickly when they take on the Netherlands in the Women's European Championship.
England’s defence of their European Championship title began with a disappointing 2-1 defeat against France in their opening group game.
Sarina Wiegman’s team now face a crucial clash on Wednesday against the Netherlands, who currently top Group D after their victory over Wales.
England need a big performance and they are certainly capable of getting back to winning ways against a Dutch team who they have beaten in three of their last four meetings.

Lionesses out to make a statement
The defending champions were second best for long periods of their opening match and were 2-0 down at half-time against the French.
England did threaten to snatch a point in the last 15 minutes of the game, but Keira Walsh’s 87th minute goal was all they had to show for their efforts.
Wiegman will expect her team to see off Wales in their final group game, so their hopes of qualification could rest on Wednesday’s encounter.
Not only would a victory put them in a strong position, but it would also show that the Lionesses are still one of the teams to beat in the tournament.
The Netherlands were frustrated for much of the opening half of their win over Wales, before breaking the deadlock in stoppage time and then adding two more goals after the break.
The last time these two teams met was back in December 2023, when England ran out victors in a five-goal thriller, after the Dutch had been 2-0 up at half-time.
Tip 1: England to win @ 7/10
Goals are on the agenda in Zurich
With the quality on show in the attacking third at both ends of the pitch, there promises to be plenty of goalscoring opportunities on Wednesday.
There were over 2.5 strikes in both teams’ opening Euros games and historically there have been plenty of goals when these two sides meet.
The over 2.5 goals target has landed in each of their last five meetings, with an average of 4.4 goals per game.
Tip 2: Over 2.5 Goals @ 3/4
City star is a real threat
The England squad will know plenty about Vivianne Miedema, but stopping her from finding the net is easier said than done.
The former Bayern Munich star has spent the last eight years in England, playing for Arsenal before joining Manchester City last year.
Miedema has already scored seven goals in 11 games for City and has 100 goals to her name for her country.
The 28-year-old scored a sublime goal to open the scoring against Wales and will once again be the Dutch’s main attacking threat in Zurich.
Tip 3: Anytime Goalscorer – Vivianne Miedema @ 12/5
