Premier League football tips: Crystal Palace v West Ham 01 01 22

We’ve brought together three Hammers fans from the We Are West Ham podcast who will provide #BetYourWay football tips for every West Ham game in the Premier League this season in an attempt to win money for a charity that is close to their hearts.

The podcast is run by three Hammers fans: Will Pugh, James Jones and Reece Bayliss.

We will place a £50 bet on each of their selections, with all profits donated to the charity of their choice. This year, the lads will be donating to Isla’s Fight, DT38 and Bobby Moore Fund.

The We Are West Ham podcast was born out of a live Hammers radio show that James Jones and Will Pugh used to broadcast to the nation.

On Saturday, West Ham start 2022 with a trip to south London rivals, Crystal Palace. The Hammers bounced back from a defeat at home to Southampton on Boxing Day with an emphatic 4-1 victory away at Watford earlier in the week and the lads are hoping for more of the same here.

Will Pugh: West Ham to win, over 2.5 goals, Jarrod Bowen to score or assist

Will says: “Bowen has been superb for us – he should be getting an England call-up with his recent run of form and I expect that to continue against Palace. We’ll start the year as we ended the last one…with three points!”

James Jones: West Ham to win, over 3.5 goals, Jarrod Bowen to have 2+ shots on target

James says: “I think this game will see plenty of goal-mouth action at both ends, but we’ll score more with all the trouble to be caused for them by the man-of-the-moment, Jarrod Bowen. A high-scoring game and three points, please!”

Reece Bayliss: Both teams to score, over 2.5 goals, Wilfried Zaha to score anytime

Reece says: “I’m not too sure how this game will play out. I think we’ll both score, and there’ll likely be a winner, too. I just hope it’s not a goal from Zaha that is the difference. He’s very talented on his day and I feel he could pop up with a goal for them.”
