Premier League Tips: 11/1 Bet Builder for Tottenham v Crystal Palace

The Premier League midweek action concludes with a London derby on Thursday night as struggling Tottenham host Crystal Palace.

Tottenham host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Thursday in a clash between two bottom-half teams.

Spurs have been on a dreadful run, losing their last four matches, with new manager Igor Tudor enduring a poor start following defeats to Arsenal and Fulham.

He will need to turn things around quickly, with the north London side sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone and the teams around them showing far more consistency over recent weeks.

Palace have also endured a difficult spell, but their form has improved of late and they can head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with renewed belief.

Here are our Premier League betting selections for the game.

Selections

  • Both Teams to score @ 13/20
  • Richarlison 1+ shot on target @ 8/15
  • Adam Wharton to be booked @ 3/1
  • Jorgen Strand Larsen 1+ shot on target @ 1/2

Pays 11/1

Both teams expected to score

Scoring hasn’t been an issue for Spurs, as they have found the net in four of their last five games, including against Arsenal’s robust defence and twice when facing Manchester City.

Both teams have scored in four of Tottenham’s last five matches and in three of Palace’s last five.

Spurs did keep a clean sheet in their 1-0 win over Palace in the reverse fixture, but the Eagles generated an xG of 1.47 and arguably should have scored.

Oliver Glasner’s team can make up for that on Thursday in a match that should see both teams get on the scoresheet.

Leg 1: Both Teams to score @ 13/20

Richarlison to step up once again

Richarlison has been the main man for Spurs this season, netting eight goals despite struggling with injuries throughout the campaign.

The Brazilian got on the scoresheet against Fulham at the weekend and can play a vital role in this game.

With Spurs expected to create several chances at home, Richarlison should register at least one shot on target.

Leg 2: Richarlison 1+ shot on target @ 8/15

Busy Wharton to pick up a card

Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton is typically heavily involved in matches, contributing plenty of tackles and fouls.

The England international has recorded 2+ tackles in seven of his last 10 Premier League appearances and in five of his last six, while he has also committed 10 fouls across his last five games.

With Spurs likely to push forward in search of a win, Wharton will be tasked with breaking up play and stopping transitions. His aggressive style has already seen him booked six times this season, and with pace in the opposition attack, another caution wouldn’t be a surprise.

Leg 3: Adam Wharton to be booked @ 3/1

Strand Larsen looking to prove himself

Jorgen Strand Larsen has slowly been finding his feet since joining Crystal Palace. The Norwegian forward has scored two goals in four league appearances, both coming against Burnley in Palace’s 3-2 defeat.

Despite that result, he showed promising signs, demonstrating his movement in the box and his ability to finish chances when they fall his way.

Strand Larsen has offered glimpses that he could become a long-term replacement for Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has made it clear he wants to leave the south London club.

As the 26-year-old continues to build fitness and confidence, his influence should grow, and given his recent form and increasing involvement in Palace’s attacking play, he looks well capable of registering at least one shot on target during this match.

Leg 4: Jorgen Strand Larsen 1+ shot on target @ 1/2
