Premier League acca: An 18/1 five-fold for Wednesday’s matches

There are five Premier League matches taking place on Wednesday and we have picked out a five-fold to cover the action.

There is a full midweek Premier League programme to fit in before the FA Cup fourth-round action at the weekend.

Wednesday’s coupon features five top-flight games including Manchester City’s home game against Fulham and Liverpool’s trip to Sunderland.

We’ve picked out a bet for each of the games to form an acca that pays out at 18/1, if successful.

Wednesday’s Premier League tips

  • Aston Villa to beat Brighton @ 19/20

  • Crystal Palace to beat Burnley @ 4/7

  • Both teams to score in Manchester City v Fulham @ 31/40

  • Nottingham Forest to beat Wolves @ 8/11

  • Sunderland or draw double chance v Liverpool @ 21/20

    Five-fold pays @ 18/1

Villa can bounce back at home

Aston Villa have failed to win their last two Premier League matches but they should pick up three points at home to struggling Brighton.

The Villans had been in fantastic form prior to their recent blip and have won eight of their 12 home league games, while the Seagulls have plummeted to 14th place with only two wins in 12 away contests.

Albion are winless in four matches and have not won away in the league since November.

Leg 1: Aston Villa to beat Brighton @ 19/20

Clarets should struggle at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace enjoyed a confidence-boosting win over Brighton on Sunday but Burnley’s position looks ever more bleak and the 19th-placed team could suffer their 17th league defeat of the season at Selhurst Park.

Palace have not enjoyed much of a home advantage this season, with six of their eight league wins coming on the road, but this is one of their easiest fixtures of the season on paper and they can extend Burnley’s winless run in the league which stretches back to October.

Leg 2: Crystal Palace to beat Burnley @ 4/7

Cottagers can get on the scoresheet

Manchester City and Fulham combined to score nine goals in their first league meeting this season, so it may not be too much to ask for them to register at least one each at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.

City, who turned their fortunes around late in Sunday’s game at Anfield to beat Liverpool 2-1, won 5-4 at Craven Cottage in a midweek fixture in December and both teams have scored in each of their last three games.

There have been goals by both teams in seven of Fulham’s last eight matches and that trend can continue.

Leg 3: Both teams to score in Manchester City v Fulham @ 31/40

Forest can emphasise extent of Wolves’ struggles

Nottingham Forest are in 17th place in the Premier League and technically the team that Wolves need to be targeting to escape the relegation zone.

That seems a distant prospect, though, as Forest are still 18 points ahead of their visitors on Wednesday having won seven times as many league matches as them.

With eight days before their next match, Sean Dyche’s team can afford to go all out for three points in their bid to stay clear of the bottom three.

Leg 4: Nottingham Forest to beat Wolves @ 8/11

Black Cats could maintain unbeaten home record

Sunderland possess the only remaining unbeaten home record in the Premier League and they are capable of claiming at least a point against Liverpool at the Stadium of Light.

The Reds not only suffered a cruel defeat with Manchester City’s rally to win 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday, they also lost the services of star man Dominik Szoboszlai for this game due to his late red card.

Sunderland would move level on points with Arne Slot’s team if they win and with the Reds having won only four of their 12 league away games, the home side are worth backing to avoid defeat.

Leg 5: Sunderland or draw double chance v Liverpool @ 21/20
