The midweek Premier League action continues with five more fixtures, including Manchester United's trip to Newcastle.
There are five Premier League matches on Wednesday night, with Manchester United heading to Newcastle and Chelsea’s visit to Villa Park among the highlights on an evening which also features title rivals Arsenal and Manchester City.
We have a Wednesday night acca which pays upwards of 19/1 in the Premier League odds.
Wednesday’s Premier League Tips
Chelsea draw no bet vs Aston Villa @ 4/5
West Ham to beat Fulham @ 5/2
Manchester City to beat Nottingham Forest @ 2/5
Newcastle to beat Manchester United @ 8/5
A fourfold bet pays more than 19/1
Blues can bounce back at Villa Park
Aston Villa’s push for a spot in next season’s Champions League is beginning to falter and Chelsea can boost their own European hopes by winning at Villa Park.
Unai Emery’s men have won only one of their last six matches, and their lack of attacking output is a major concern.
Villa have registered only 11 shots on target in their last four matches, and they didn’t offer much when losing 2-0 to Wolves on Friday night.
Chelsea were competitive in a 2-1 loss at the league leaders Arsenal on Sunday and the Blues showed enough in that contest to suggest they can win at Villa Park.
The West Londoners have to be more efficient in the two boxes, but they can be backed on the draw no bet market.
Leg 1: Chelsea draw no bet vs Aston Villa @ 4/5
Hammers tipped to take three points from Craven Cottage
West Ham can boost their Premier League survival hopes by winning at Fulham.
The Hammers were beaten 5-2 at Liverpool last weekend, but that was an out-of-character result for a side battling hard and it was also a little unjust, although their weakness when defending set-pieces was again evident.
The Irons have lost only two of their last nine games, and while a trip to Fulham is no easy task, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men look a little overpriced in this spot.
Leg 2: West Ham to beat Fulham @ 5/2
City should be too good for Forest
Manchester City should have no issues keeping the pressure on Arsenal, who travel to Brighton on Wednesday, when they host struggling Nottingham Forest.
City have won eight of their last nine matches and Pep Guardiola’s men have scored 24 goals in their last seven outings at the Etihad.
That attacking output suggests the home attack should be good enough to create chances, even if the Tricky Trees look to sit in and deploy a low block.
Defeats to Liverpool and Brighton mean Forest have won only one of their last seven games, and Vitor Pereira will have to come up with something special for his team to emerge with anything from Eastlands.
Leg 3: Manchester City to beat Nottingham Forest @ 2/5
Howe’s men may end Carrick’s unbeaten start
Newcastle were beaten 3-2 by Everton last weekend, but that defeat can be forgiven when Manchester United head for St James’ Park.
Before the loss to the Toffees, the Magpies had stuffed Qarabag in the Champions League, crushed Aston Villa 3-1 in the FA Cup, downed Spurs 2-1 in north London and performed with plenty of credit when losing 2-1 to a top-level Manchester City side at the Etihad.
Manchester United have been playing well, but they have scored only four goals in their last three Premier League games and the Red Devils needed a Maxence Lacroix red card to turn Sunday’s tie with Crystal Palace in their favour.
Michael Carrick’s men look vulnerable at St James’ Park and Newcastle appear overpriced on home turf.
