Premier League acca: 19/4 Bet Builder for Chelsea v Tottenham

Our best bets for this crucial game in the relegation picture include a positive result for Spurs in a cagey affair.

Tottenham need just a point from their trip to Stamford Bridge to effectively ensure safety from relegation, but Chelsea would like nothing more than to keep Spurs sweating.

The Blues were beaten 1-0 by Manchester City in Saturday’s FA Cup final and it’s a quick turnaround for the Blues, who are on the verge of missing out on European football next season.

Stamford Bridge is set for a lively London derby on Tuesday night and our three-way Bet Builder pays out at 19/4 in the Premier League odds, if successful.

Chelsea v Tottenham Bet Builder Tips

  • Tottenham or draw double chance @ 5/6

  • Under 2.5 goals @ 13/10

  • Over 5.5 cards @ 5/6

    Pays out at 19/4

Spurs can secure safety at Stamford Bridge

Tuesday’s trip to Stamford Bridge had the look of a mighty tough fixture for struggling Spurs, but West Ham’s 3-1 loss at Newcastle United on Sunday has given the contest against Chelsea a much different complexion.

The Lilywhites now know that a draw or victory would be good enough to ensure safety, with the Hammers having a hugely inferior goal difference, meaning that that Roberto De Zerbi’s men no longer have to chase the game.

Tottenham have been picked off when attacking teams at home this season, but a more circumspect approach on the road has seen them lose only six of their 18 top-flight away games.

That’s a good record for a team battling relegation and Spurs are fancied to avoid defeat again at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have to recover from a gruelling FA Cup final loss to the Citizens at the weekend and this is a Blues team which has lost six of their last seven Premier League games.

Leg 1: Tottenham or draw double chance @ 5/6

Goals unlikely to flow at the Bridge

Sunderland are the only side in the top 14 positions in the Premier League to have scored fewer than Chelsea 24 home league goals this season and the Blues have hit the net just three times in their last seven games.

Brazilian frontman Joao Pedro is a quality option, but the Brazilian was run into the ground at Wembley on Saturday and there is very little back-up for the former Brighton forward.

Spurs know a point will be enough to ensure their safety and there is no need for the visitors to turn the Stamford Bridge battle into an end-to-end contest.

A tight, closely-fought clash looks likely and backing under 2.5 goals in a play.

Leg 2: Under 2.5 goals @ 13/10

Bookings on the cards

There have been 28 yellow and two red cards in the last five London derbies between Chelsea and Tottenham, so a fiery contest is almost guaranteed.

Spurs have picked up at least three cautions in all five games since De Zerbi took over in the dugout and the Blues have been shown at least a trio of yellows in all of their last four matches.

Leg 3: Over 5.5 cards @ 5/6
