We make our picks to for the 2025/26 Premier League top scorer market, with Chelsea's new striker poised for a big season in front of goal.
Liverpool superstar Mo Salah ran away with the Premier League Golden Boot last term, with his 29 goals meaning he had six more than next-best Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, but he could face stiffer competition this time around.
Not only is the top scorer in the previous two seasons, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, fit again and raring to go, but most of England’s top sides have spent big money on attackers this summer.
Chelsea have brought in both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, Arsenal finally got their man in Viktor Gyokeres, Liverpool have signed Hugo Ekitike and are still trying to lure Isak to Anfield, while Manchester United have snapped up Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
It looks set to be a top goalscorer race for the ages and we have scoured the options to provide three standout each-way tips for you to consider.
Premier League Golden Boot tips
Joao Pedro to be top goalscorer @ 16/1
Dominic Solanke to be top goalscorer @ 28/1
Jorgen Strand Larsen to be top goalscorer @ 100/1
Joao Pedro to be top goalscorer @ 16/1
Chelsea, fourth last year, are a side with title aspirations and they wasted no time in dipping into the striker market, bringing in Delap from Ipswich Town in early June.
However, they were not done there and Brighton’s Joao Pedro quickly followed Delap to Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian quickly usurped the Englishman and Nicolas Jackson as Enzo Maresca’s favoured forward after netting twice on his first Blues start, against his former club Fluminense.
He followed up by bagging in the Club World Cup final against PSG and then scoring once in each of Chelsea’s final two pre-season games, against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan.
Pedro has arguably the Premier League’s best creator, Cole Palmer, as well as tricky wingers Jamie Gittens and Pedro Neto to provide for him and he can build upon his 10-goal haul from last season.
Dominic Solanke to be top goalscorer @ 28/1
Both Mbeumo (20) and Yoane Wissa (19) ranked in the top six for goals in last season’s Premier League, highlighting how Thomas Frank’s forward-thinking tactics can often get plenty out of frontmen.
Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney and Said Benrahma are also forwards to have enjoyed some of their best scoring seasons under the Dane during his time in charge of Brentford, so it is surprising to see Dominic Solanke, the top striker at his new club Tottenham, as such an outsider to be top goalscorer in 2025-26.
Solanke scored a respectable 16 goals in 47 games in his debut season with Spurs, but he finished fourth in the scoring charts in 2023-24, netting 19 in the Premier League in his final campaign at Bournemouth and could fare even better this time around.
New signing Mohammed Kudus should help create plenty of chances along with Wilson Odobert, Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson, so expect Solanke to rediscover his best form under the astute Frank.
Jorgen Strand Larsen to be top goalscorer @ 100/1
He may be a huge price, but there are reasons to believe Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen could prove to be a smart each-way investment in the Golden Boot betting.
The Wolves forward enjoyed a strong debut campaign in England, scoring 14 goals in 35 Premier League games. He only got better, too, netting half of his haul in his final nine appearances.
The powerful Norway international looks to be on an upward curve and he should get even more chances – including from the penalty spot – with Wanderers’ previous focal point, Cunha, having departed for Old Trafford.
