Columbus Crew to beat New York Red Bulls (20:00)
A brace from Federico Higuain – brother of Gonzalo – helped Columbus Crew advance past in-form DC United in the preliminary play-off round and they can get another positive result on Sunday.
The Crew took four points from their two matches against New York Red Bulls this season and lost just two matches out of 17 at home.
The Red Bulls won the Supporters’ Shield after beating Orlando 1-0 on Decision Day, but won just two of their final six matches on the road.
Portland Timbers to beat Seattle Sounders (22:30)
Portland welcomed Diego Valeri back to the starting XI against Dallas in midweek and his double helped them to a 2-1 away win, despite being a man down for 33 minutes.
The Argentine can be influential again for the Timbers, who have won 14 of their last 20 home games in all competitions.
Seattle are in decent shape themselves, having finished the regular season with 14 victories from their final 16 matches, but lost two of their three meetings against Portland in 2018.
New York City to beat Atlanta United (00:30)
Atlanta United capitulated on Decision Day, losing 4-1 away to Toronto and missing out on the Supporters’ Shield.
They had to play that game without MVP nominee Miguel Almiron, who has netted 23 goals this season, and technical director Carlos Bocanegra has confirmed the Paraguayan’s involvement will be limited at Yankee Stadium.
New York City beat Philadelphia 3-1 at home for the second consecutive game and are a good price to take a lead into the second leg.
Sporting Kansas City to beat Real Salt Lake (03:00)
Sporting KC go into the MLS play-offs as top seed in the Western Conference and, having won five of their previous seven matches on the road, are a good price to build a first-leg lead.
KC had the third-best travelling record in the MLS over the regular season and finished with three straight victories.
Salt Lake came back from a goal down to beat LAFC on Friday, but that was only their second win in seven matches.
