Tuesday Betting Guide: Our 5 best football tips 29 10 19

We've selected one bet for each of Tuesday's EFL Cup last-16 matches, including win/draw/win, total goals and anytime goalscorers.

Leicester to beat Burton & under 3.5 goals {ODDS:486444601:13/10}

Leicester have taken this competition seriously so far, making few changes in victories against Newcastle and Luton.

But, having taken two League One sides to the semi-finals (Sheffield United in 2014/15 and Burton in 2018/19), Nigel Clough should make the Foxes work hard for their win.

Ignoring the EFL trophy, the Brewers have kept six consecutive clean sheets at the Pirelli Stadium, and restricted Man City to a 1-0 victory in the home leg of last season’s semi.

Crawley v Colchester: Draw {ODDS:486351422:12/5}

As the longest-priced of the three possible outcomes in a game between two evenly-matched sides, the draw looks a great bet here.

Crawley were hammered 4-0 at home by Swindon on Saturday, but none of their previous eight home matches had been decided by more than one goal, while they were level with Stoke after 90 minutes in the previous round.

Colchester have drawn four of their last eight matches, with two of the exceptions being decided by a single goal.

Everton to beat Watford & under 4.5 goals {ODDS:486378669:1/1}

Watford’s precarious Premier League position means that the EFL Cup is not a priority right now.

Quique Sanchez Flores is likely to rest several first-team regulars here, and a group of players that can’t break into a team with five points and five goals from 10 league games are unlikely to lay a glove on Everton.

Marco Silva has selected strong teams in wins at Lincoln and Sheffield Wednesday so far, while his side have already beaten the Hornets 1-0 at Goodison Park this season.

Riyad Mahrez (Man City) to score v Southampton {ODDS:491890973:11/10}

Having sat out Saturday’s win against Aston Villa, Mahrez should come into the Man City side for this game.

The Algerian has three goals this season, and takes on a defence in terrible form.

Southampton conceded nine at home to Leicester on Friday, having previously conceded 10 goals in four games against Premier League opposition.

Oxford to win or draw v Sunderland & over 1.5 goals {ODDS:486352913:10/11}

Aside from the EFL Trophy, Oxford have won their last five home games 3-0, 4-0, 3-0, 3-0 and 3-0.

All of the hosts’ last eight victories have featured over 1.5 goals, while they beat West Ham 4-0 in the last round.

Sunderland have lost their last three away matches, so it could even be worth backing Oxford to win & over 1.5 goals at {ODDS:486352074:2/1}.
