Football Tips: BTTS bets for the EFL Cup on Tuesday 14 08 18

From the Mariners to the Shrimpers, we're fishing for value with these EFL Cup first round BTTS football tips.

After landing winners in the Championship and League One on Saturday, Adam Drury is back with BTTS football tips for Tuesday.

Grimsby Town v Rochdale – {ODDS:290068514:8/11}

Grimsby should continue their scoring form at home to Rochdale, having scored three goals in their first two matches of the season.

Rochdale have kept just one clean sheet in their last six matches across this season and last, with manager Keith Hill bemoaning the defensive errors that cost his side in Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to Peterborough.

Including their last two pre-season friendlies, there have been goals at both ends in the visitors’ last four consecutive matches.

QPR v Peterborough – {ODDS:290076918:13/20}

QPR have scored 20 goals in their last 10 home matches, with both teams scoring in all of the last five.

The R’s also found the net in both of their home EFL Cup matches last season.

Peterborough scored four on the road at the weekend, while all of their last four matches in this competition have produced goals at both ends.

Southend v Brentford – {ODDS:290067420:13/20}

There were goals at both ends in all three of Brentford’s EFL Cup games last season, and that run should extend into this campaign at Southend.

The Bees have produced a 5-1 and 1-1 in their two matches this term, so even a weakened side should have enough to score against League One opposition.

Chris Powell does not have the squad size to make many changes, so backing the Shrimpers to extend a run of 14 goals in six home matches is a safe bet.

West Brom v Luton – {ODDS:290079037:10/11}

West Brom have conceded 10 goals in their last four EFL Cup games, including three against Norwich, two against Northampton and one at Accrington Stanley last season.

Luton are without a clean sheet in their last seven matches in this competition, so there should be plenty of goals at the Hawthorns.

The League One side have scored in eight of their last 10 away matches, and drew 1-1 with Sunderland on Saturday.
